These are lovely naturally banded chevron amethyst from India. They are a combination of White Quartz and Amethyst, mixed to form a V-banded or striped pattern. This is a great stone to carry around if you have any "emotional heart issues"

History & Legend:
The name is derived from the Greek word amethyein, meaning “not drunk.” The Greeks wore an amethyst for protection against magic, homesickness, evil thoughts, and drunkenness. Buddhist monks in India use amethyst to help them meditate. Placed under one’s pillow, it prevents nightmares

When worn, the amethyst will alleviate migraines. Amethyst also improves concentration and helps deal with nervousness
